Optum Bank and Empower Retirement
I am struggling to re-connect my Optum Bank account (Care Code: FDP-155) and Empower Retirement Account (Care Code: FDP-155).
I saw some previous threads on connecting Empower Retirement Account, but it was unclear what I need to do to connect my 401K to quicken.
Can you please advise on what steps I need to take to get these accounts connected?

Sorry to see you're having this problem. I'm a fellow user so take my "advice" for what it's worth 😎
First, here is an article about connection errors and error codes. Your code is included in the first section of the article.
Second, I have found it to be helpful to use my web browser's InPrivate or Incognito mode when trying to resolve connection problems.
Third, I have found it helpful to log into my bank's website and find where they show my external connections. I then delete the connections that QS uses to access my bank data.
Fourth, here are steps to take that may help with reconnecting to your banks.
- Hover over the menu on the left-hand side and select
Settings
. - Select
Accounts
. - Locate the
Financial Institution
that's receiving the error and select thethree dots
at the end of it. - Select
Reset connection
and then clickReset
. - Enter your credentials, then click
Connect
. - Once your accounts are presented, select the
Link
option to the right of each account. - Click
Link To
and select the matchingaccount
. - Click
Complete
when done.
Finally, if the reset process doesn't work you may try making all affected accounts manual then delete the institutions and then use the Add Account process instead of the reset process.

Hello @Eric Giesler,
Unfortunately, Optum Bank changed their security requirements during the summer, and as a result, they no longer permit aggregation. They are currently listed as an unsupported financial institution:
Empower blocks aggregation from 5 AM PST to 1 AM PST. If you're seeing the FDP-155 error when trying to connect or update with Empower, it is likely because you're trying to do it while they are blocking.
I hope this helps!
