Incorrect Balance with Capital One

  • I do not have Wells Fargo; my bank is Capital One and includes pending transaction in the balance. Almost every day, my balance disagrees with the bank balance. The transaction in question is being shown as both cleared (in the transaction activity section) and pending (in the balance pending section). This cannot be possible in real life! I am set up as balance with pending.

    Thanks for reaching out! I can understand the difficulty this issue may be bringing you. To help us investigate what specifically is occurring, can you let us know if you have created manual pending transactions for this account in Quicken Simplifi?

    Additionally, I would suggest trying with a fresh new connection. You can make the accounts manual and then use the Add Account flow to get a completely fresh connection. If the connection is successful, you'll then want to link the accounts to your existing Quicken Simplifi accounts. I would also have you generate a new token with Capital One, as it may have expired.

    1. Navigate to the bank's website, sign in, and then remove Quicken's access from the bank's third-party linked apps.
    2. Navigate back to Quicken Simplifi and reset the connection for the bank.
    3. Link the accounts found to the existing Quicken Simplifi accounts. Make sure that you are the owner of the account and that the account is not shared.
