Can no longer hover on recurring series "circular arrows" icon to see which series is linked

Hello,

In the past, one could let their cursor hover on a transaction's "circular arrows" recurring series icon on the Transactions page to see which recurring series was linked (a bubble would pop up with the series name).

Somewhere in the recent web app updates, this feature disappeared. To see which recurring series is linked to a transaction, I must view/open the transaction. This is inefficient and requires multiple clicks that weren't needed before.

Please bring back this feature!

I noticed the same behavior in the transaction list. On reports, when you hover on the "circular" arrows, I just see series but not the name of the series the transaction belongs to.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Nothing in the transactions list and nothing but "Series" in report transaction lists.

    Hello @Duke0486,

Thanks for reaching out! Thank you for your feedback as well @UrsulaA and @DannyB. We are not aware of this ever being a feature, nor that it was removed. Hovering over icons in Reports and Watchlists seems to be intended to describe what the icon is for since it does the same thing for the 'Split' icon as well.

Hi @Coach Jon , thanks for the response! I assure you that this functionality previously existed and was very helpful (knowing that @UrsulaA and @DannyB also miss this feature lets me know that I'm not crazy!).

I hear what you're saying. When you let your cursor hover on the "+/-" icon, the message "Excluded from Spending Plan" appears in a pop up bubble. When you let your cursor hover on the "slashed eye" icon, the message "Excluded from Reports" appears in a pop up bubble.

However, when you let your cursor hover on a "circular arrows" icon; the linked recurring series name appeared in the pop up bubble. The pop up bubble feature worked in the same manner as the icons for "excluded from spending plan" and " excluded from reports," but it contained the series name, not a description of the icon.

How do we bring this feature back? Surely someone at Simplifi must know what we are talking about.

    Thanks!

    Hello @Duke0486,

Thanks for the reply. The hover tooltip definitely seems like the intended behavior to describe what that icon is, as evidenced by the way they work in the Reports and the Watchlist sections. If you want it to work the same way in the Transactions section of the web application, it may be good to create an idea post requesting the feature be added.

As for the functionality you are stating it used to have, we are not aware of any kind of feature like this that has been removed recently. How long ago do you remember using this feature in Quicken Simplifi?

    Thank you,

    Coach Jon

Hi @Coach Jon , currently the hover tooltip isn't working at all for the circular arrows icon on the Transactions page. Nothing pops up, which clearly isn't what Simplifi intends. Previously, the linked recurring series name appeared.

I don't think it's helpful for the circular arrows icon to simply describe what the icon is; it's much more valuable telling the user what recurring series is linked. At least two other users agree with me. My apologies, I'm not trying to be difficult. I just want the icon to work the way it did previously!

I noticed this feature in Simplifi starting with the day I joined Simplifi (June 4, 2024), and it stopped a few weeks ago. When it stopped working, I thought it was just a temporary glitch but that doesn't seem to be the case.

    Thanks!
