Merril Lynch account still not working

Hi,

Can you please provide an update on Merril Lynch accounts not working. See error below. It's been almost 2 months, with no ETA and no updates.

    The Merrill Edge integration was broken for almost 2 months now. We had a thread earlier, but coaches decided to disable comments.     Since the FDP-105 error with Merrill Lynch and Merril Edge is a known issue, our Community Alert can be followed for updates:

    The Alert has not been updated yet because there are no updates to provide. As soon as we learn any news, it will be posted to the Alert.

    My Merrill connection is also no longer working, and I wonder, is two months really an appropriate amount of time for this to be researched and resolved? And this is now the second link that has been broken in my accounts in the past week. It amazes me that others are so patient about having this happen to them (cause I assume they must be experiencing the same thing), and patient enough to wait months for Simplifi to get to a solution. Nobody else holds their breath every time they log in to Simplifi, waiting to see what been broken over night?

    I have almost transferred all my accounts to [removed]. The sole reason I am delaying the process is that I possess some custom content on Simplifi that I am unwilling to recreate on other platforms. Additionally, I am concerned about the historical data. Nevertheless, I am awaiting any Thanksgiving promotions that may be offered to entice me to proceed.

    @Coach Natalie - not sure if it helps or if someone already looked into this from Quicken, when I log into my MerrillEdge.com account I am directed to ml.com. I also have a Bank of America banking account (which owns Merrill Lynch), I noticed both banking and investment accounts are now combined into one interface. You may want to let your tech team know if the API on the back end has changed that may have broken your connections. Lastly, I have Credit Karma with the same account setup. They are not having any issues with Merrill Edge connections.

    I tried switching my accounts to “manual” and downloading the transactions from ml.com directly, while waiting for a fix. That didn’t work. The CSV template provided is not suitable for investment accounts and their guidance is not helpful (https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4413430-how-to-manually-import-transactions). So now, instead of the account balance showing $0, the account balance in the dashboard has a non-zero value, but it’s also incorrect. However, the “holdings” balance shows the correct balance (at least for the transactions up through Sept 24, when the connection still worked). Also, I have my accounts connected on [removed] and have seen no issues. I wonder if [removed] is having the same issues?

    Been getting an FDP-105 error message for 3 days on Merrill Edge investment account.

    I think it’s high time that Quicken fix this problem. They certainly have no problem charging their annual subscription fee for the Simplifi service.

    I fully understand how API changes by financial services providers are probably a constant source of headaches for Quicken but enough is enough. [rant redacted]

    Despite its cost-effectiveness and lack of comprehensive tracking capabilities, what is the practical value of this service?

    For me, this app supports all my banks (which the app you mentioned did not), and when it was working, the cash flow forecast was very helpful for me. I am faithful that they will get it working, balances that is, as the earliest it was reported was earlier this month, as far as I am aware.

    When asked a while back, I even suggested this app to a Merril Lynch Account Rep. How bad do I look bad now!!!??!!

    Ridiculous I’m long gone and not missing it. Over two months is 1/6 of the subscription period and they were about to go up in price so I canceled before the auto renewal.

    I had a strange situation where the balance and market value numbers didn't match, but the ME account would still update. When I tried making it a manual account to reset it, the whole connection broke. I was okay with broken connections with Mint, because it was free, but Merrill is a big brokerage, and I've now canceled my renewal.

    This destroys net worth historical Values for the year. I also had to make manual changes to the estimated cost when buying new stock because it could not be automatically updated. It captured the number of shares purchased but not the overall gain. Etrade worked fine on this.

    When is this going to be important enough for Quicken to deal with…. Merrill Lynch is a major financial institution and if we can’t access it via Quicken what’s the purpose of having Quicken? This needs to be a priority.

    I had call with Quicken IT on the week of Thanksgiving where I logged onto my account and recorded a .har file of me going through the various investments. Hopefully it starts working soon! I'll follow up next week.

    Apparently Quicken IT had been struggling to get someone to help with that…not sure why the coaches didn't post on here or the previous post asking for volunteers.

    At least they finally added a note that Merrill Lynch Investments is reporting connection issues

    PLEASE FIX THIS SOON!!! If this was a free service I would understand that there might be a delay, but as a paid service, connection problems should be a high priority.

    Its unbelievable that this problem has been around for so long without solution…. Its 12/12 and the connection problem remains!!!!!
