Recurring payment disappearing with store refund
I have been seeing this issue for a while and cannot figure out how to fix it. I have a monthly series set up for my credit card payments, with the amount set to $0 until I schedule the payment. Once I schedule the payment, maybe 1 week before, I adjust the amount to the actual amount. This works as expected unless I have a return around that same time. The return will take over the recurring series and the upcoming payment will disappear, affecting my upcoming balance in my checking account (source of payment). I have the credit card series set to "exact" but Simplifi is ignoring that. Any ideas?

You should be able to unlink the Refund transaction from the credit card payment. That should at least put you back where you want to be. Have you tried setting up a refund reminder when you are expecting a refund to see if that helps Simplifi match correctly?
Just two things that come to mind right now.

Thanks for the help, SRC. I am able to unlink, but the recurrence is gone for good.
The refund reminder could work and I will give that a try, but adds a bit of manual work to the process.

As a work-around, and you probably knew this, you can edit the recurring series and edit back the 'next' date to be the correct 'next' date and that should bring back the reminder. It is manual labor.
Also, I've had mixed success with this, but when you set up a recurring series, you can specify how matches happen (exact amount, limited range, auto), and if you make it 'exact match' and your refund doesn't 'exactly match' the recurring reminder, it should not match which might get you what you want, @ertibb

Thanks Rob! Yup, that's how I get the recurrence back. I tried deleting and remaking the series, using exact from the beginning (I may have changed that after the fact), so I'll see if it improves.
