Spending against a goal should not impact the Spending Plan
In the case that I have created a goal, such as to save $5,000. I would like Simplifi to allow marking the transactions that are paid for from the goal so that they do not affect the Spending Plan.
The saving of money into the goal already is considered by the spending plan (e.g., $1,000 / monthly), so the spending of money paid for by the goal account should then not be re-counted as part of the Spending Goal.
For example, if in the final month of the goal, I set aside $1,000 into the goal's associated account, it impacts the total Savings Plan (minus $1,000). If I then spend $5,000 from the goal, it then impacts the Savings Plan (minus $5,000). Thus, my total Savings Plan shows minus $6,000, but in fact, I've only set aside the $1,000 and would only expect the impact on the Savings Plan to be minus $1,000.
This workflow seems half-baked at the moment and marking the individual transactions (meaning the spending of $5,000 from the Goal as excluded doesn't seem like the right way to do things).
Ideally, one could mark the transactions (e.g., such as tagging them with the Goal name, which the system automatically creates as a tag when a goal exists), have them be excluded from the Spending Plan implicitly, and then also show the related spending against the goal when looking at the goal details (e.g., list of transactions, sum of the amount, and so on on the goal page).
