Apple Card: Not honoring "Exact Match" settings for recurring

This is the recurring setup:
Note it's set to a $14.35 EXACT AMOUNT match.
When synced with Apple card earlier, a payment of $25 was matched to this. The $25 was to pay a dunkin donuts card reload charge.
It seems particularly with apple card i get payments matched wrong most often, that's why i set it on 'exact match' and it still got it wrong.
(I edited the date back to 12/21 rather than 1/21, since that was off by the match)

I did notice @Coach Jon has not been posting in the last few days, whether it's a vacation or something else -
If this happens again, and it probably will, I will try chat support if i have time - though, I have heard people can wait for chat support for hours for a response.

p.s. to the extent I can help out, I will try to.

I'm chatting with Chat Support (Coach Eduardo) about this now, thanks, you can close this post / I'll follow up there if needed.

The proposed Solution from Coach Eduardo was to use the limited range option rather than exact match. I set that up, time will tell. At this point, my Apple Card is limited to apple subscriptions and dunkin/starbucks reloads, I'm not using it for much of anything else now.

In retrospect, I think Coach Eduardo misunderstood my issue, because he described how to properly link a transaction manually, when I was complaining that a transaction was linking that should NOT have linked as it was NOT a recurring reminder. I suspect I'll have to report it again if i see it. Not worth the effort at this time. I have to at least TRY to give his fix a try before complaining further.

I just used my Apple Card for first time in 6 months because I ordered something from Apple, and wanted the 3% back. I am receiving the item today but it hasn't cleared yet. It shows my balance as 0.00. I guess because I haven't entered the transaction and apparently, Apple doesn't download Pending Transactions.
But if I switch my accounts from Bank Balance with Pending to just Bank Balance (in the Accounts section where you do Show/Hide Accounts), it does show me owing the money. This is counterintuitive. I discovered this feature recently as I was testing my FUSB issue.

Good morning Mr. Steve,
I will sometimes see a message in Simplifi that tells me to update my Apple card account by using the Simplifi app on my iPhone. When I do this, the app refreshes all of the data for my Apple card account in Simplifi and it's correct again. Might be worth a try for you, if you haven't already.

Just seeing this. Thanks. My card updated this afternoon for my 108.41 charge, which I paid. Then for some reason, it now shows me owing $0.49. There is no pending amount at all. All I can figure is that my order was for $99 and they should have charged me $9.90 in tax for $108.90, which means I still owe .49. Weird, and since it is pending, I cannot pay it until it clears. I put in a balance adjustment for .49 for the timebeing. I called support, and they said just wait. I find credit cards more trouble than they are worth.
@RobWilk It's still showing me owing $.49 today and no pending transaction or anything!

Okay, the problem I reported here seems to only be with payments not charges. I schedule recurring payments (from checking) for each recurring charge. Coach Eduardo's advice to switch from Exact Match to Limited Range did not help, it is still matching payments that are outside of that range.
Here's an example from today:
This Transaction:
can be seen as matching "CC AppleCare Phone" with an amount of +$43.68
But Here's the recurring reminder:
It should only match amounts between $12.20 and $16.50 and this is clearly outside of that range.
I totally get that it may be considered a holiday week, so this may not be a great time to interact with any support option.

Hello @RobWilk,
Thanks for following up with your findings. I would suggest continuing to follow up with the support agent you originally reported this problem and did troubleshooting with. That way, if this needs to be escalated, they already have the information necessary to do so.
