Trouble with Quicken 7.10.1 : can't turn off syncing...

Does anyone have a solution to turning off the syncing feature in Quicken? The software is not giving me the option in the preferences. Is there a way to go back to a different version of Quicken to avoid this issue?

Mac os12.7.6 (my computer is not compatible with os13/14/15)
