Payee renaming suddenly really bad

Hi, Just want to share some feedback. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but the payee names on most of my transactions have gotten really bad as of late, as in completely nonsensical sometimes (like a '2' instead of a name of vendor). I'm leaving Quicken because I'm tired of revising each of these transactions and I also seem to have trouble linking items in my spending plan to posted transactions. Maybe it's just me but if feels like something changed in the last couple of months. It feels totally broken for me.

There were known issues surrounding renaming such as in this alert:

There were other people talking about renaming issues the last 2 weeks as well, i don't know which if any of those issues were resolved or improved.

    Hello @carmy,

The issue you describe sounds like a known issue that was recently resolved. New transactions should no longer be coming in that way, but any that already downloaded incorrectly would need to be manually corrected.

If you have new transactions that are downloading incorrectly, I recommend that you check your Renaming Rules to ensure that Quicken Simplifi didn't learn any incorrect rules while the issue was happening. To check renaming rules in the web app, click on the settings gear icon near the lower left, then click Rules.

To check renaming rules in the mobile app, click the hamburger menu (3 lines) in the upper left, then tap Settings.

In the Settings menu, tap Rules.

If you do find an incorrect renaming rule, you can edit or delete it in the web app by clicking the 3 dots to the right side of the rule and selecting the edit or delete option as appropriate.

In the mobile app, tap on the incorrect rule to edit it. To delete it, once you're in the edit rule screen, tap the 3 dots to the upper right, then tap Delete Rule at the bottom.

    I hope this helps!
