Simplifi Accounts - Banking Balance Bank Balance Setting Incorrect
In Quicken Simplifi, the Accounts / Banking / Cash & Checking is incorrect with the Balance Type view setting as "Bank Balance". I've toggled the Balance Type View setting between "Balance with Pending" and "Bank Balance".
I would expect that when showing "Bank Balance" that the balance displayed would be what was reported directly from my bank as "Available Balance" (not taking into account pending transactions). However, the account balances shown in Simplifi are highly inaccurate.
Account/Transaction Details:
Available Bank Balance reported via Chase Bank:
Available Balance: 6818.53
Present Balance: 6818.53
Pending Transactions:
Deposit: +4988.80
Debit: -35.93
Bank Balance in Simplifi:
Balance Type Balance with Pending toggled: 1793.80
Balance Type Bank Balance toggled: -3159.07
Pending Transactions:
Deposit: +4988.80
Debit: -35.93
What it looks like is happening to me, is there is a sign issue with pending transactions. The credit transactions look to be treated as debit transactions. The math adds up below based on the numbers (1793.80 - 4988.80 - 35.93 = -3159.07). I would expect that when not viewing balance with pending transactions that Simplifi would just use the reported "Available Balance" that is fetched from the bank and not try to do the calculations (just my $.02).
This has been happening for a month or two now. Not sure if it was an update that caused this but there is clearly a bug in the logic/view logic somewhere. Yes, I have reset the bank connection and gone thru all the "troubleshooting" steps already. This isn't the first time Simplifi has started reporting inaccurately.
Same is reported on the Simplifi Web App and on the Simplifi iOS App.
