In a panic, Recurring section is great for identifying things to cancel
So, once again, it looks like the government might be shutting down. Fortunately, they waited for my December social security deposit.
It feels like it might be 'real' this time, but it always does, to be honest.
So, what does a guy do? I went through any non-essential subscriptions in my recurring section (things like grammarly, ad free add ons [peacock, prime video, X], microsoft365, github copilot, google workspace, etc), and I cancelled them for now.. Stuff like actual streaming services won't get cancelled until i know for sure there won't be money coming in.
Having all the subscriptions and bills stored in one place (settings→recurring) makes all this 'easy'. I can't imagine having to cancel subscriptions and having no idea which subscriptions I had.
