HSA Bank Investment Account Not Showing Up To Add
Comments

Correct, the Ameritrade account is separate from the HSA invest.
There are no transactions listed under the Ameritrade account. However, if I login directly at Schwab (Ameritrade) not using Simplifi, it shows the last transaction was December 13, 2024.

Thanks for clarifying the situation, I can agree that it is indeed confusing. To confirm, the Ameritrade and the HSA Invest accounts are separate accounts, and the Ameritrade account was originally associated with Schwab. This account was replaced with the HSA Invest account, yet that account is not showing up as available to add within Quicken Simplifi, correct? Let us know so we can make sure we are all on the same page!
Can you both also provide the following information for teh HSA Invest account:
- Has there been any activity in the account in the last 90 days?
- Is the account considered an external account (i.e. are you redirected to a different website when selecting the account on the bank's website)? If so, what URL are you redirected to?
- Is the account a subtype of a different account?
- Has the bank made any recent changes to its website or sign-in process?
- Are you the owner of the account?
- The name of the account, as it appears on the bank's website.
- If the issue is occurring on an existing Quicken Simplifi account, the name of the account as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
- A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website (the page that lists all accounts and balances - feel free to redact any private info) that has a wide enough scope to show the page URL (this must be taken from a web browser and not a mobile browser).

Coach Jon,
The Ameritrade/Schwab account is separate from the HSA Invest account I am expecting to be able to add.
The Ameritrade/Schwab account does not have any transactions in Simplifi when it is associated with the HSA bank account. Nor does HSA bank show any transactions on hsabank.com website. However, if I login to schwab.com I can see transactions there.
The proper way for the Simplifi end user to deal with the Schwab account is to ignore it/not add it when accessing it through hsabank.com, and to add it separately as a schwab.com account. Otherwise you end up with two accounts in Simplifi with duplicate balances.
To add a 3rd complication to HSA bank, I have a HSA mass transit account. This has separate transactions and balances from all the other ones. The mass transit account is provided through my employer via hsabank.com to purchase tax free bus/train tickets for commuting to work. There may be people with an HSA bank parking accounts also.I agree with @crowtein that the important account to deal with going forward is the 'HSA Invest' account. The Schwab account is irrelevant from the end user perspective since I can add that separately as a Schwab account in Simplifi. The HSA mass transit account is small potatoes and I could care less if that is added to Simplifi. End users in expensive transit areas may disagree.
hsabank.com has been a headache for years with both Mint and Simplifi, so I sympathize with everyone involved. There have been multiple changes to their website in the past 3-5 years which have resulted in aggregators being broken. When I was using Mint it was busted for half the time.0 -

@Coach Jon - just followed the instructions and sent logs. Issue remains the same as before. The "Ameritrade" account was actually a linked Schwab account that HSA Bank provided prior to changing to an in-house solution called "HSA Invest". This HSA Invest account is nowhere to be seen when I reestablished the connection.
