Show Cash and Stocks separately (edited)

At present, both the Cash component and Stocks are displayed together as a single entity under "Investments" in accounts. However, Robinhood allows users to see how much of the balance is allocated to Cash versus actual investments. The feature request is as follows:

  1. Separate the Cash and Investments components and display them under their respective categories.
  2. Currently, "Interest earned" from the Cash component is not recognized in Simplifi, likely because it is considered part of the investment transactions and isn't properly categorized. The request is for Simplifi to recognize "Interest earned" as income and display it under the Cash component.
  3. When Robinhood Credit Card points are redeemed for cash back, the corresponding transaction should be identified and categorized as 'Income'.

    Hello @vchan,

Thanks for reaching out! We will definitely keep your first request as an idea post that other users can vote for and follow going forward. As for your other points, you will want to create a new post as we will want to keep this post on topic and prevent any confusion as to what this idea is.

Additionally, I will state that for your third point, you could possibly set up a transaction rule so that when the corresponding transactions come in, Quicken Simplifi will watch your downloaded transactions and automatically assign the Category accordingly. It would need to be a payment/deposit, however. https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4792733-how-to-use-transaction-rules

    I hope this makes sense,

@Coach Jon Sure, I can file another post for point #2. I see that you've edited the title of the post as well and now it doesn't state Robinhood in the title. Wouldn't that reduce the clarity of this request? Because Simplifi does show cash and stocks separately in general, but the request here is to specifically do the same for the Robinhood account.

Could you maybe correct the title of this post once again as you see fit to better reflect the ask?

    Hello @vchan,

I have reverted this post from an idea post to a discussion again. It seems there may be confusion. To help us clarify your situation, can you post a screenshot here of how your Cash and Holdings appear in Quicken Simplifi for your Robinhood account? Generally, they will be separated in the Portfolio tab of Investments in the Holdings section, but it seems like you are stating that your Robinhood account is showing this differently.

    Thanks, and let us know!
