Chase Credit Card Downloads Now Work the Same as with Capital One Banking
I have been loathed to say anything more about the Chase Downloads b/c it felt as if one were beating a dead horse, but this week Chase Credit Card downloads seem to have changed for me. And it is in a familiar way that I can live with, so this is not a bug report but simply my observations.
I don't use my Amazon Visa much, but I bought new tires on Tuesday and used this Visa because of a special cash back offer. (I haven't gotten that cash back yet). The charge cleared yesterday in the balance but the charge itself didn't clear until a few hours later. No problem: I am used to this behavior from Capital One so I just cleared the charge myself. This morning, the payment cleared along with my regular 1% cash back (not the special one). Again the balance was now $0.00 online, but the two credits hadn't cleared, so I cleared them myself to make the balance say $0.00. Simplifi will download them around 930am and match them I am sure.
The problems of double counting past pending transactions seems to be gone (this never happened in Capital One). Anyhow, maybe the information will be useful.
PS. With the 1% Cashback you see why I don't use this credit card much except for Amazon.com where it is 5%!
PPS. And btw, both these account downloads work the same way in Quicken Classic so this behavior is not Simplifi's fault for sure. It may be a timing issue as I update around 5am. If I waited until 9 or 10, it might work better. But heck no, I am updating at 5am when I get up.
