Unable to link bill to transaction to linked billing account.

In transactions I see the charge for electric bill. I have this successfully linked to that account. Yet it says past due. In transactions I see the bill paid from checking. But when I click on the past due item and select Link To Transaction, that payment is not listed. Other checking account transactions are listed. Unable to get this to show as paid with Xcel energy. Yet it shows precious months as paid.

What I have found when this happens to me is that the "missing" transaction is already linked to some reminder.

Try this. Go to your account transaction list and find the Xcel entry. You will be able to tell if the transaction is already linked to a reminder if the circling arrows icon is showing.

To unlink, click on the 3-dot and select "un-link recurring."

Now the transaction should show up in the transaction list from the Spending Plan reminder.
