Create a rule that renames Payee only and does not change category

Just a few months ago I was able to create a rule that renamed the Payee (i.e. "EBAY 46534653457" → "eBay") without simultaneously creating a rule that would update the Payee category.
Since a recent App update, when I try to create a rule that renames the Payee only, I get a pop-up telling me how my rule will change the Payee name AND the category, even though I often don't want to create category rule. Am I missing something here?

@Mook Mook, thanks for posting to the Community!
I went ahead and moved this out of Feature Requests, as you can already create a Payee Rule without creating a Category Rule with the new Transaction Rules design.
Here's how to do so from Settings > Rules:
And here's how to do so from a transaction directly:
If you're creating the Rule from a transaction directly, you have to select "None" from the Category drop-down menu to only set a Payee Rule. You can also more easily manage Transaction Rules from Settings > Rules, as there are separate checkboxes for 'Rename Payee' and 'Update Category'.
I hope this helps!

So I went ahead and created the Rule from a transaction directly, and selected "None" from the Category drop-down menu to only set a Payee Rule. Unfortunately this rule then changed the payee name to what I wanted and also changed the category to "Uncategorized" which is exactly what I did not want it to.
So I still don't know how to create a rule that renames Payee only and does not change the category from the Transaction page. What am I missing?

@Mook Mook, thanks for the reply!
I didn't experience this personally when creating a Payee Rule from a transaction directly; the transaction retained my original Category. Can you try editing the Rule under Settings > Rules to see if you can uncheck the 'Update Category' checkbox?
Let me know!
