When I download data into Quicken everything works in a familiar manner except for my Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) account. SCCU initiates a MFA request within Quicken. No one else does this. A pop-up box asks whether I want the MFA code sent to my email, text or phone. Is this normal? I thought the link between Quicken and financial institutions was secure enough that an added MFA would not be necessary. Imagine if all my financial instructions were doing this! Updating accounts electronically in Quicken would be untenable. Can someone give my some perspective on this? Is there a basis for me to ask SCCU to abate this MFA practice for downloads? Thanks.
