Planned Spending Expenses Disappeared

I just noticed in the last few days all my planned spending items are gone in the Spending Plan for future and past months. I use to have monthly Gas, Dining, Loan Payment, etc and would add one off expenses.

Is anyone seeing this as well?

I just had the same issue, and it's freaking me out a bit. I have begun using this feature and using the rollover feature. Now I have no idea where funds should be allocated in my account. Need this fixed yesterday.

  • Likewise, as of yesterday. This is a primary reason why I use this app and it needs to be fixed, as the poster above me said, yesterday.

I'll add that I'm in a bit of a scramble trying to figure out where the funds in my checking account should be allocated. Please let me know if they are gone forever, so I can try to mitigate it from that perspective, or if the planned expenses will be restored. This is huge problem now that we are using rollover. Would have been less of an issue before.

My Planned Spending categories/amounts are still there. I have no 'monthly' or 'rollover' ones, i wonder if that's where the difference is. I have six planned spending items.

For those that lost planned spending, presumably monthly, expenses, did they just dissappear from this month or past/future months as well? One would think they might be recoverable or recreate-able if they are in other months.

  • They are entirely gone, current and past months.

Yeah, they're gone alright. No wonder there's a message encouraging me to start using that feature.

    Please fix!

At least it’s better than a spreadsheet.

    Same issue here.

I wanted to configure new expenses, which is why I logged in. I'll postpone doing that, and re-configuring my old expenses, for the time being, in case making any changes prevents Simplifi from being able to restore my previous config.

  • I noticed the same thing too when I re-logged into my software yesterday. All of my planned expenses past and future just got wiped out.

Glad to hear I am not the only one. Luckily for me I was able to go back and recreate them for the last 13 mths without too much difficulty since I don’t have that many expenses.

Definitely not great they all disappeared from a historical Spend Report accuracy perspective. Hopefully this doesn’t occur again.

There's a popular developer meme on X(formerly twitter):

"Don't push to production on Friday".

Hold off code changes going live until any other day.

It's because, I believe, on the weekend the change can not be cleanly handled because no one is there to fix it, or they have to come in on their day off to fix it.

It sounds like a meme the developers at Quicken, Inc. might need to read more, they're not spending enough time on social media.

Any chance we get them recovered or are we just stuck with the situation?

This is a mess for me. I lost everything related to planned spending.

This just happened to me - even in history - no planned spending!

I chatted with live support, and they are working on an update to resolve this issue.😊

  • I too have the same issue, all spending plans for past, current and future are gone and reset to zero. Anybody able to get ahold of their tech support team? The AI bot wasn't too helpful in this situation. I don't want to go in and recreate if its possible to get them restored when they realize they broke something with recent update.

Has there been anything from Quicken on this that I can follow for updates?

I'm not sure if others experienced this or not, but when I checked my spending plan just now, nothing appears in my planned spending.

This is very wrong, I set up a variety of categories. Right now, it looks as though it was never set up.

I feel something happened server-side, as I have not changed my spending categories at any time recently. As I write this, there is not tech support / chat available, so if others experienced this and a tech support agent fixed it, let me know.

It has been an ongoing problem. There is another thread covering this. Appears fixed for me as of this morning.

I noticed the same issue last night (1/26/25) and am still having the issue this morning. All my "Planned Spending" has disappeared. This includes past, present, and future.

  • I have this issue too 😞
