Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard Support (Synchrony Financial)

This card launched in September 2024 and is not yet supported, despite it being a Synchrony product (others are supported). Since Synchrony uses sub-domains for its co-branded cards, Simplifi needs to support the specific product sub-domain login (here: https://virginredrewardscard.syf.com/accounts/login/). I requested this addition months ago in the app, with no update. Given the similar structure among co-branded logins, this is presumably just updating the sub-domain in existing code. In any event, as significant spending is on this account, Simplifi's budgeting and reporting functions are compromised without this information.

Thanks for reaching out! We do have a couple of different instances for Synchrony available in Quicken Simplifi. Have you tried connecting using one of these other instances?

Thanks - I have tried them. As you'll see at the bottom of the list, the sub-domains become product-specific (e.g., Sams Club Bus, Verizon, etc.). The SYF subdomain for Virgin Red Rewards is "virginredrewardscard.syf.com." If a connection can be added pointed at that sub-domain, that would be great (as I cannot login to the Synchrony website either unless I go through that specific subdomain).

Based on your description of the issue, it sounds like this is a credit card that is serviced by Synchrony bank, but isn't directly issued by them. If that is the case, then you may want to try connecting using one of the other options for cards serviced by Synchrony. A couple of the options others have reported having success with are CareCredit and Guitar Center.

There are 9 other SYF.com subdomains currently in Simplifi's account list for other co-branded Synchrony-issued cards (Lowes, "Synchrony Mastercard," Sam's Club, Google Store, At Home Insider, Harbor Freight, Infiniti, Nissan, and Verizon). NONE of the Synchrony-related listings currently in Simplifi work with my credentials, including Guitar Center and CareCredit.com noted above.

Can an option be setup that is identical in function to one of the other SYF.com sub-domains but directed at virginredrewardscard.syf.com? Clearly that is the way that Synchrony organizes the logins for its co-branded general purpose (i.e., not just a store card, but a Mastercard/Visa) offerings (as shown by the list Simplifi already has). Since none of the existing connection options allow you to connect, I converted this discussion to a Missing Financial Institution request. While we cannot guarantee that any given financial institution will be added in the future, these requests are a way for our teams to see which institutions there is a demand for, and how much demand there is. Ultimately, it is the financial institution's decision whether they will support Quicken Simplifi or not.

I'm facing the same issue with my Virgin Red Rewards account. Is there a way to get on an email list that could notify me if the institution gets added?

Also, it looks like all I can download is a pdf. Is there a simple workaround to get a pdf into Quicken? I'd prefer not to add each transation by hand.

We are facing that same problem. Myself and my wife have synchrony virgin cards and cannot connect to Quicken. I have sent 2 requests to accept card with no answer. Probably will have to cancel subscription if not resolved, as adding each transaction manually is not an option.
