Hi,
[removed] I have been unable to get my PenFed account re-connected for about a week now. I was getting the FDP-102 error at first but now I'm getting an FDP-155 error. Please see the attached screenshots.

I am now also getting fdp-102 with PenFed. I think these errors tend to resolve on their own. I would wait at least 24 hours to see if it self resolves.

Hi all, I contacted PenFed yesterday and received this back:
"Thank you for contacting PenFed.
PenFed made the decision to disallow aggregators from accessing PenFed Online through direct integration. The technical method by which aggregators extract account data (called screen-scraping) does not align with our internal information security standards, and was disabled in order to protect our members and their data."
Very disappointing to hear, unfortunately I'll be looking for a new banking provider over this. I highly encourage PenFed customers to make their opinion known on this matter, and maybe some change can come about.0 -
I almost feel responsible, as a superuser - - just 2 days ago I closed one of my 2 Pen Fed credit cards, and it was like the next day this stopped working. I still have a PenFed card with a $12k credit limit, which for my income is a lot, but I closed an older one with a $6k credit limit (that card didn't have rewards).
Now that they dropped support, I'm almost of the mind to close my other PenFed card. I have one recurring monthly charge on it, which i'd have to change — the bigger problem is they don't e-mail/text me for new charges, so I was relying on Simplifi to tell me when I had a balance on this card, and now i won't see that.
Can someone confirm there will be no support for PenFed going forward, before I decide what to do about this.
Thanks,
Rob

I called PenFed, they said there was some kind of issue with "Data Scraping" and security that caused them to disable the feature (someone else also said that or something similar), I decided to now close both of my PenFed credit cards, primarily because without notifications or Quicken support, I have no way of knowing when charges were made without manually logging into their website daily. I explained there has to be some kind of balance between convenience and security. The person, Oscar, who helped me close the account totally understood and was very kind. I can hardly believe I just eliminated $18,000 in available credit from them in the last 48 hours. That will almost certainly hurt my credit score, nevermind that the accounts were a few years old which might hurt it worse. But I feel like for managing my money right, it was the right thing to do at this time. I ultimately opted to keep my savings account (and, therefore, membership) open with them, and will still be trying to monitor my savings account with them via Quicken if support comes back.

I have tried adding my penfed account several times but always get this error:
I have verified that my password is right. Any ideas on how to get it connected?

[removed] is still able to sync/pull data from my Penfed accounts as of today through MX. Granted it isn't the most reliable connection but it is successfully interfacing. I hope Simplifi can get this fixed.

Is there any update on this yet?

If you read the alert page, you'd see they are waiting on PenFed to create an OAUTH connection, which i gather would. be more secure than the current screen scraping mechnism that was being used. If you didn't know, OAUTH, I believe, is where in Simplifi you would sign into the bank on the bank website (as opposed to giving Quicken Simplifi your username and password) and the bank would give simplifi a token of some sort allowing them to access your account.
