Ability to add a Rollover Cap (edited)

Hello, would it be possible to add an option for a cap on how much can be rolled over?

Example: We have a planned spending shopping category of 500 a month (This is fun money essentially.) We don't always spend it and it can climb rather high rather fast.

Instead of the need to go in and manually shrink the allocated rollover. It would be nice to set an upper limit. 1500 in this case.

We can then plan to have in our account the max total of our bills, subscriptions, planned spending, etc, without any extra work. Always being with in budget and avoiding any Oh! we have 3000 in the shopping category and blowing money that should have been allocated to a spending goal and saved for.

I am new to the app, Only on my second month. If this only does previous month to next month. Then we are good as any one category wont get to high.

Why this is important for me, I have a certain amount I want to keep in checking. Everything else goes to a HYSA. If the categories grow higher then what is planned to stay in checking, we could run into issues. requiring unneeded back and forth transfers.

Your post probably should have been posted as an 'idea' post so others could vote on it. Someone will likely convert it later today.

Thanks Rob, I didn't notice that category. Assuming I can't move it? I don't see the option at least.

Only "Coaches" can change the post type, I think by 10am ET (now) they are starting their shift, either @Coach Jon or @Coach Natalie will probably do it. When you initially created the post, you would've had the opportunity to select it up front.

    An excellent idea IMHO.

I think this would be great. I would also love the ability to move rolled over funds to another category or to an available funds area of the spending plan for the month.

I don't use rollover, but I do like this idea! If this were implemented, I might reconsider.
