Deleting a completed/linked tracked refund deletes the transaction

I made a refund tracker and linked a transaction to it. After realizing I linked the wrong transaction, I deleted the refund tracker, but it completely deleted the refund transaction from my bank account transaction list. I had to re-make the transaction manually to link it to another refund. I don't expect this is intended behavior — deleting a refund tracker should only delete the tracker, not the linked transaction.

Refund tracker has always been wonky for me.
But are you sure it was deleted? Not saying this is what happened, but sometimes when I unlink a reminder (and a refund is a specialized reminder), it seems to be gone but shows up later after refreshing. Did you check to see if it's gone in the phone app and the web app?
FWIW, there is also a known issue that some cleared transactions linked to a recurring are disappearing . . . which might not be related to this, but who knows?

Hi thanks for the response — yes, as of today the transaction is still missing. It's not an account that has very many transactions, so I am quickly able to see all my transactions over the past few months. The refund transaction was from Feb 20th and the account has refreshed many times since then.

Did you manually re-enter the transaction? That way you will have a record of it because if it hasn't downloaded again by now, it won't. Let's hope this was just a one time glitch.
