payments from savings

Hello,

I am a new user to QuickenSimplifi. I paid a large tax bill say 3000 from my savings . I had the money ready. However in the QuickenSimplifi program it shows I over spent.

What am I doing incorrectly? I don't think I over spent as I had the money in savings.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community with this question. You didn't do anything wrong.

The Spending Plan, which is the tool that would show if you overspent, is based off of income vs. expenses during the current month. It does not take existing bank balances into account. For more information about the Spending Plan, see this article:

You can exclude that large transaction from your Spending Plan, if needed. This article provides information about how to do that:
