Contribute to Savings Goals in Past Months

Desired Feature: I would like to be able to contribute to my savings goals from past months.
Situation: I often wait to reconcile my budget until after all charges have cleared for the month, which usually takes me a couple of days into the next month. Sometimes I get busy with life and actually have to go back and reconcile 2 or 3 months.
Problem: When I go to make a contribution for a past month in the Spending Plan, the option is grayed out. Then when I contribute to that goal from the Savings Goals tab, those contributions counted towards my current month.
Example: I started using Simplifi at the same time as merging finances with my partner, so it took use a couple of months to figure out accounts and how we wanted to budget and track our money. It took us until mid-March before we had our system down. When I went back to contribute to the savings goals from Jan and Feb, those contributions applied to my March spending plan and increased the overall spend for March, which reduced the Income after bills & saving amount. I am now having to manually balance March and just have to accept that it will look wonky.

Hello @Ottson26,
Thanks for reaching out! I converted your idea post into a discussion, as we do have a new ability to contribute to the prior closed month within the Spending Plan of Quicken Simplifi. You can do this by navigating to the Spending Plan, going back one month, and locating your Savings Goal there. Once found, click the 3-dot menu to the right and select Contribute to goal.
If you would like to contribute further back than one month, let us know, and we can convert this back into an idea post for that specific idea.
