Transfers and manual accounts

Hello,

I noticed that when I have a transfer from my bank (synced account) to my Coinbase Debit card (manual account), that the transfer is not showing in my Coinbase Debit account.

It seems this may be an issue if I transfer the same amount of money more than once a day. (Example: If I transfer $200 in the morning and then $200 in the afternoon again). Even though they show up in my Bank Account when synced, they are not showing in the Manual account more than once (the first transfer from the morning).

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks!

    Hello @B_H,

Thanks for reaching out! To clarify, are the transfers you are speaking of manually created transactions? If you can provide a screenshot showing both sides of the transfer as well as the transaction details of the transfer itself, this would be helpful in determining what is occurring here.

    Hello,

Thank you for the quick response. I have included 4 images of a sample transaction that occurred today.

In the images, you should see that a transfer for $250 was downloaded into my ESSA Checking account for a transaction to send that money to my Coinbase Debit. It automatically detects the matching entry, but it is not right. The matching entry is dated on 4/4/25. If I go ahead and click on "Go to other side" for that transfer dated 4/4/25, it takes me to image 3, which shows me a date of 3/28/25. There were transfers for the same amount on those days, but they are not this transfer.

The transaction that should appear in my Coinbase Debit on 4/14/25 is not there. Coinbase Debit is a Manual Account. Even if I enter the transaction manually, I cannot seem to find a way to match it to the correct entry in my ESSA Bank transaction list. There doesn't seem to be an option for me to manually do that?

I hope this helps… kind of hard to describe over a message.

Automatic matching doesn't always work for me either - it's more of a problem when there is a transaction of the same dollar amount (but opposite sign) which is not already a linked transfer but is in another account. To work around this, they have typically told me to try creating the link in a new transactions from the opposite account - for example, if it was a transfer from checking to savings, do a reverse transfer (opposite sign) from savings to checking. The other way to do it might be to create a manual "Transfer" (not linked transfer) in the opposite account (receiving for exaxmple) transaction waiting to be linked, then create the link transfer which will link to that one.

Thanks Rob! I'll give those options a shot. I have been putting generic transfers in with the category of "Balance Adjustment", but I was hoping to find a better way!

I use this card a lot and it is very cumbersome to constantly try and figure out why the balance doesn't hold out when I am reconciling.

Let's hope for a better solution in the near future!
