@Coach Natalie thanks for the speedy response. No, I have tried all three of those options and none of them work for me. Let me post screenshots of my login flow. Let me know if there's anything else I can provide to better debug!

@johnmollberg, thanks for the screenshots!
I don't see anything of Quicken Simplifi in those screenshots — is that what the sign-in flow looks like in Quicken Simplifi or on the bank's website? If the latter, we would need to know what's going on in Quicken Simplifi versus the bank's website or app. Are you able to complete the OAuth flow in Quicken Simplifi? Do you get a specific error message or anything along those lines? Or is it just a specific account that's not showing up when others are?
Please let us know so we can best assist!

The screenshots I posted were from the banks website. All three of the Vanguard account types that you suggested tell me that my account doesn't exist. When I attempt to "register" my account on those sites, it gives me similar feedback.
I believe that the problem is that this specific type of Vanguard account is not set up correctly in Quicken Simplifi. Notice that the domain I use to sign in is my.vanguardplan.com, not investor.vanguard.com nor retirementplans.vanguard.com.
I'm not seeing anything relevant in the OAuth documentation you linked. Is there supposed to be instructions on how to add a bank to Simplifi myself?

@johnmollberg, thanks for the reply!
It would still be helpful to know what specifically occurs in Quicken Simplifi when attempting to connect to those bank options. Does it not take your credentials, do you get a specific error code or message, is the specific account not returned, etc.?
If you click on the URL in Quicken Simplifi for any of the bank options you've tried (the ones with the investor.vanguard.com and retirementplans.vanguard.com URLs), a new tab should open to the bank's website. Is this where you mentioned that you have to register rather than being able to sign in? If so, what specifically happens when you attempt to register, i.e., what is the exact message presented?
It's possible that your specific account isn't supported in Quicken Simplifi, but I can't find anything on my end or here in the Community indicating as such, or where other users have run into this problem. What specific type of account is it? Is it sponsored by a specific employer or something along those lines?
Lastly, the instructions for adding a connected account can be found here:

Here are some screenshots from when I attempt to sign into the retirementplans.vanguard.com option
Also if it's helpful, the failing network request is a POST to https://logon.vanguard.com/api/logon/username-and-password which gives back a 200 response and this response body:
{ "OOBBoundDevice": false, "OOBFrequencyAlways": false, "authAction": "INVALID_LOGON_CREDENTIALS", "authCookiesPresent": false, "isOOBEnrolledClient": false, "isU2FEnrolledClient": false, "poId": 0, "reason": "INCORRECT_USERNAME_OR_PASSWORD", "redirectUrl": "/", "state": "USERNAME_AND_PASSWORD", "targetPrefix": "/logon/redirect?url=" }

If I go to register via these sites, they are unable to locate me by EIN, Plan ID, or Start Date:
I see several relevant forum posts when I search via google: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22quicken%22+%22my.vanguardplan.com%22
The plan is an "LLC 401(K) PLAN". I'm willing to send you one of my statements via email if that's helpful.

@johnmollberg, can you provide the links to the existing topics you found, please? That should help us gain some insight from our end.
Thanks!

Good news! It wasn't working for me on mobile last week, but when I tried on desktop this week I was able to sign in via the "Vanguard Ascensus Retirement" account type. This post can be closed. Thank you @Coach Natalie !

@johnmollberg, awesome! Knowing the Ascensus option worked may also help us help other future users. 🙂

@johnmollberg, thank you!
Since that is a Quicken Classic post, we wouldn't reference it for Quicken Simplifi. But we can certainly reference this post for future users now that we have it in this Community! And I'm glad the Classic Community was a good resource for you as a Quicken Simplifi user.
Let us know if we can help with anything further!
