Import a success, but transactions do not show up

I import csv files to update my bank accounts every morning, (converted with ProperConvert ). No issues with these imports, but this morning no transactions are showing up after successful import.

I have the same issue. The import is successful, but the transactions don't show up.

Hello @Heilevang and @mariafed,
Thanks for reaching out! To clarify, your usual imports prior to the most recent work correctly, right? Is there anything different in regards to how you import or within the CSV file itself that you notice? If, for some reason, transactions are importing incorrectly or the CSV file is not cooperating, be sure to double-check that the headers, payees, amounts, and dates are correctly formatted in the CSV file. Use our downloadable template to make the process easier!

Hello everyone,
We are now aware of a known issue where transactions are not importing successfully via CSV file in Quicken Simplifi.
We do have an alert for this issue that you can follow for updates, and we will post there when we know more!

Thanks you for the followup. To your question…. yes, our usual imports worked prior, no changes to the csv file. We are using ProperConver version 7.0.018.

Having the same issue. Does Quicken have an ETA for resolution? Thank you!

Hi Team Quicken,
Just checking in—any update on the resolution? I tried again this morning, but it's still not working.

It worked for me today. Safe to assume it is fixed?

Dear Team Simplifi,
Could you provide an update on the status of the glitch?

I got an email that it was fixed a few days ago, and it's working for me.

Hello @devinder,
Thank you for letting us know you're still encountering this issue. The issue was marked resolved at the end of April.
To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. What is happening when you try to import a CSV file? Are you seeing any error messages/codes? Are you making sure the transactions are properly formatted for import into Quicken Simplifi?
I look forward to your response!

I am having the same issue still.
In my case, I was able to confirm that new imports are working, but if I have previously deleted the same transactions, they do not re-import. I had to delete transactions as I did not have the correct tags, and now I cannot re-import the same transactions.
I tested this with the same import but added a new test transaction at the end. The unique transaction imports properly, but none of the deleted transactions re-import.

Hello @kleind,
Thanks for reaching out! Per our support article for this topic, if imported transactions are deleted, you will have to manually create the transaction. Re-importing the deleted imported transaction to the same account will not restore the transaction.

@Coach Jon This intended behavior is really poor usability. For anyone finding this thread in the future, here is how I handled this:
1. Remove the account that contained the deleted transactions. Take note of any recurring transactions or bills, these will be lost. I would also recommend exporting a backup of the account transactions just to have on hand. My use case was trying to import transactions from my credit card provider, but the default template does not provide support for categories, which is very frustrating. This resulted in my first import of 800+ transactions being completely uncategorized and had to be deleted.2. Re-add the desired account. In my case, I got back the last 3 months of transactions automatically, but I have over a year exported from my financial institution.
3. Format the data to import into the mint CSV style. I have attached the template I confirmed works. For some reason uploading CSV here is not allowed, so just change the extension to .csv
4. For this template to work, both description and original description must be filled, as well as the account name which must match the account in Simplifi. Even if the categories match in Simplifi, the import will create categories under a new "Mint" top level category. I had to change the transaction category by hand in groups but that was not too difficult. Using the Simplifi exported category style for subcategories like "Shopping:Clothes" is not supported.
5. Import as mint CSV and link to the account you recreated that matches the account containing the transactions you are importing.
6. Filter to the mint categories and update to the relevant Simplifi categories.

I have used this workaround months ago when I encountered a similar situation. I also recommended it when people migrating from Mint had to reimport transactions as the previous import did not display the transactions.
Wish transactions that did not show up in Simplifi to begin with after an import will be allowed to be imported again.

Thanks for demystifying this mystery for me. I also had a "successful" import, with no transactions showing up afterward. I had, indeed imported these transactions previously and deleted them - but they were not identical, as each transaction had an incorrect date on it. (Not my best day.) I would have thought that this would have allowed Simplifi to recognize these as new transactions, but it appears not.
I would like to second the request to be able to re-upload transactions which have previously been deleted.
