Coinbase Account Holdings Not Accurate.

    The old connection used the Legacy Coinbase API keys and I had 3 separate holdings (BTC, ETH, Cash in my case) listed under Coinbase as 3 separate accounts. I marked those 3 accounts as manual.

    When I connect using the new connector it works but does not ask for a new Coinbase API key. The connection shows just one account so it is not possible to link it to the old accounts since there is only 1 account with the new connector and there was 3 accounts with the old connector.

    I assume my only option if I want to keep the old data for net worth is to mark the 3 old Coinbase accounts as closed in Simplifi and then create a new Coinbase connection which will show one account. Is that correct @Coach Natalie?

    @Coach Natalie I suggest you update your instructions on: 7/17/24: Coinbase returns an FDP-103, No Longer Offers Legacy API Keys as step 4 does not make sense for people who used to be connected by the old Coinbase API.

    @Rupe, thanks for reaching out!

    Based on comments from other users who experienced the same issue, you would either want to mark the existing accounts as closed (as you mentioned), or you can delete the old accounts and just keep the new one. Since you personally want to retain your historical net worth, I would definitely recommend the former option of marking the original accounts as closed.

    As for changing the steps on the Alert, since the use case you described may not apply to everyone, we will keep the generic steps. The Alert will be archived by the end of the week as well, so users will no longer be able to see it. However, it's nice that we now have this thread to reference!

    Let us know how things go!

    P.S. If you experience incorrect holdings data in the Portfolio, we have a thread here where we are trying to gather the required data to submit an escalation:

    Thanks @Coach Natalie. It sounds like the new Coinbase connection has some issues so I will wait for a bit before trying it.

    I'm having the same issue. I have three different balances in Coinbase, and currently when I connect through Simplifi, it shows me a combination of two of them in one account and one of them is completely missing. In other words, it's useless as it stands now.

    @Friedie, thanks for joining the discussion!

    It is my understanding that Coinbase's API combines all of the accounts into one now. You can make the original accounts manual and keep them for historical reference, and then add the single account as a new account to track moving forward. Have you already performed these steps? If not, let us know so we can share the directions to do so with you!

    When I connect to Coinbase, it only shows me one "account" like you describe. However, the balance shown is incorrect. For example, I have 3 different cryptos on Coinbase. It shows the balance of 2 of them combined like you're describing, however, it does not combine the 3rd crypto balance into that total. I could live with one combined balance, but leaving out a whole subset of my account makes it less than useful.

    I don't know why the Coinbase API is limited to one combined account now. I have other websites that can parse the totals into different accounts using (presumably) the same or similar API.

    Thank you for your reply @Friedie,

    To clarify, are you seeing the issue described in this alert?

    Thank you!

    Yes, I guess it is as I'm getting incorrect market values and inaccurate balances.
