Vanguard - what worked for me

I got completely frustrated after weeks of trying to get Vanguard to work. Different behaviors different times - sometimes would just spin ad infinitum after authorizing, sometimes would come back immediately with FDP-390 error.
Finally, I just tried adding the account as a brand new account. The previous account was listed as Vanguard - Personal Investors. This time, the institution was listed just as Vanguard. I tried adding that, and it immediately worked! I just deleted the old duplicate institution (maybe I lost some transactions in the process, but that is far preferable to the infinite frustration loop was undergoing).
So, just in case anyone wants to give this a try.

Thanks, @Kalkrish , I expect this will help a lot of folks. Quick note for others who don't want to lose their old connection's account history - this worked for me to preserve the history:
- Changed my existing Vanguard accounts to "manual accounts" in account settings.
- Added a brand new Vanguard connection from scratch, per Kalkrish's guidance above.
- During the onboard of the new connection accounts, selected the option to link the new accounts to my existing "manual" accounts. The workflow recognized the same account names and even pre-populated the suggested linkages.
- Completed the onboard and confirmed that Simplifi successfully tied the history of the old accounts to the newly-added ones.
- Delete the old broken connection to Vanguard in account settings (was concerned this would delete the history, too, but fortunately it didn't).
Hope this helps other folks who have been waiting for Vanguard guidance over the last month.
