Quicken password design parameters - max character limit remains a mystery...

Today I changed my Quicken ID/email address which went perfectly :)
Because Quicken offers no MFA options beyond a phone number, I frequently think about how vulnerable my financial data is with the company. So I tried creating a stronger password (more characters).
To make a long story short, I ended up with an account lock out for the better part of the day. Lost productivity. I have poked around ChatGPT and Quicken help files to learn about the maximum number of characters allowed allowed by Quicken.
It seems my multiple attempts at improving the password security (starting with 100 characters and later progressively fewer characters), ended up failing and eventually getting me locked out of the account due to the number of repeated attempts.
ChatGPT says Quicken users report an anemic 16 character maximum password allowance while Quicken help files indicate no limits to password length. So what is it exactly?
Tonight - after being allowed back into my account - I am back down to a 16 character password. But at least there is account access.
Why is Quicken still living in 2010 when so many other financial institutions not only offer long passwords but also MFA options like authenticator apps, passkeys and USB security keys?
In leu of other security redundancies (apart from the outdated phone verification method) you might assume Quicken at least offers 50 - 100 character passwords… ?
Does anyone have an answer to the maximum password length ambiguity which currently exists? I tried trial and error working down from 100 character passwords and ended up locked out of my account for half a day.
Thank you,
Steve L.

Hello @OregonNomad ,
Thanks for reaching out! We in the community are not aware of a specific character limit for passwords with Quicken, however, I do know that our listed password requirements are:
- 8 character minimum.
- Must contain one lowercase letter and one capital letter.
- Must contain at least one number.
- Special characters are allowed but not required.
As long as the password is within these parameters, it should be okay.
