Well, I am wanting to move from Quicken Classic to Simplifi or something else. Quicken Classic has more than I need, and I feel that I am not exercising and getting the full benefit from Quicken Classic. I looked at one other (Monarch), but found it was not what I wanted.

My wants in an app is to link to the various financial institutions, down the tractions, place the right categories, able to group transaction with tags, use to balance the statement, link investment but for just once a month or every two weeks, be able to attach files as I like to have my statements with the accounts and receipts with the transactions, and then simple reports. I do not that this is fancy or demanding. Also, I would like to have an app that allows entering transactions ahead and not just want until afterwards. Additionally, removed all the transactions that were before May 1st as then all accounts are in sync with a specific date. I am still working with Quick Classic until I feel conformation to cut over and give myself until Dec 31st as the cutover date.

Been working with Simplifi for the past 5 or so days, got my accounts linked, the transactions downloaded, a majority of categories set, but still not clear on when I have new transactions, I review them, but what do with them and how to get them out off the new list of transactions. Slowly getting the understanding of Simplifi’s use of “transfer” and “credit card payment.” I feel it is the same as with Quick Classic but just named and performs a little different. I have watched a lot of videos, and now in the process of watching again as they make more sense. Are there any in-depth videos or online classes for Simplifi? I have not found any other videos than on YouTube and no online classes. Now ready to start understanding the Spend Plan and the Reports. I would be able to download some of the reports and review them.

If this post was rambling, please forgive me as I want to master this, but not having some challenges with the learning curve.
