How about added support for Gemini? (1 Merged Vote).
So evidently Gemini tries to link with Simplifi now (which is an improvement). But when I try to link them, it just spins it's wheels and says it is trying to Authenticate the accounts after I sign into Gemini and never lets me add accounts.
So for now, manual transactions it is.
@Friedie, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I split this into a new discussion so we can do some troubleshooting with you. I also see that Gemini is available in Quicken Simplifi, and it appears to have an OAuth API connection. I noticed that there is an additional bank option for Gemini, listed as "zz inimeg". The bank options that are listed like this are usually old and disabled, but I would recommend giving it a try just in case —
I would also recommend trying from a different browser or in incognito/private mode, in case something in your primary browser is blocking the bank's authorization process.
Let us know how it goes!
I tried both the Gemini and the zz inimeg connector and both do the same thing. I also tried private browsing mode with the same result. It just stays on this screen and never moves off of it.
Thank you for your reply,
Based on your screenshot, it looks like it's getting stuck before you're getting to the screen prompting you to click the sign in button and go through authorization on their website. Is that correct (screenshot below)?
Which browser are you using? Have you tried using an alternate browser or using incognito mode? Do you use a VPN or antivirus? If so, try pausing them while connecting to Gemini.
I hope this helps!
No, I get to that screen. After I hit the sign in button, it takes me to where I use my passkey to log in. The first time I try to log in with the small window, it takes me to my Gemini account in the small window. I have to hit abort on the Simplifi screen and try again. The second time, it will send me to the screen linked below.
I click allow and then it shows me (Pic is same as above, but same thing happens with Gemini and zz inimeg):
Which will eventually time out after ~5 minutes saying:
I tried in a Chromium based browser, Google Chrome, and also again using "private browsing" or "incognito" mode.
@Friedie, thanks for the reply and for the detailed timeline!
To clarify, when you are in the bank's OAuth window, does it list your accounts to authorize? If so, is there an option to check/uncheck them? If so, please ensure that you are leaving them all checked and then allowing the access. If there are any accounts you don't want to add, you can exclude them directly from Quicken Simplifi once you have a successful connection.
Let us know!
It never gives me a list of accounts. It just says that Quicken is asking for access like Coach Kristina mentioned above and I hit "Allow", and then it shows me the "Securing connection" screen. And then it times out like I showed in the last picture.
@Friedie, thanks for confirming!
