is there a way to include pending transactions into the cash flow projected balance?

@Katie Keith , thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I tested in my own Quicken Simplifi by adding a pending transaction, and I definitely see it reflected in the Projected Cash Flow. The account balance is $80, and the today balance in Projected Cash Flow is also $80, taking into account the $20 pending transaction —
With that, can you elaborate on what specifically you're referring to, and how exactly your projected balance is incorrect, so the Community can get a clear picture of what's going on?

is there a setting I should select that includes pending transactions? My paycheck was pending but the cash flow projected balance was negative because it didn’t include the paycheck. Thanks!

I've never noticed this being a problem either, best I can remember. A picture is worth a thousand words so including screenshots helps get your answer faster! Just make sure to redact any details you don't want to displayed. I don't believe this is it, but you can adjust this for each account…
You set this at Simplifi > Settings > Accounts > 3 Dots beside an account > Edit Account.
This setting has more to do with what shows up as the current balance of your account, not the projected balance of the account. Still, it's something to help troubleshoot.
