Simplifi account access from foreign countries (yes or no?)

I am told Simplifi is designed to function only when accessed from US and Canadian IP addresses. My home address and all bank accounts are in the US (except for a "Wise" account). But I'm frequently in other countries while still needing to track my finances.

I purchased a Simplify subscription while staying in Colombia last winter and loved the app. I had absolutely no issues with the app functionality on iPad and iPhone. I also used a VPN which I at times had set to Colombia and at times to the US.

Could someone advise me about the official functionality on this? I am told by some Simplifi coaches that the app is not supposed to work in other countries. But my experience is different. I'm currently in Canada and about to travel to far away places again.

If the service is designed to suddenly stop working while temporarily living somewhere else in the world, then i need to cancel my subscription and find a different way to keep track of my finances as I don't want to risk an unexpected inability to track my expenses when I need it most.

Perhaps this is a feature request? Guaranteeing that login access is granted to the Simplifi subscribers' accounts regardless of the IP address used to connect.

Thank you..

@OregonNomad , thanks for reaching out with your inquiry!

I went ahead and moved this out of Feature Requests since it is a question versus a request. To answer your question, Quicken Simplifi only supports U.S. and Canadian banks and currency. Although you still may be able to use the app outside of the U.S. and Canada, or while using a VPN, if either of these scenarios prevents us from confirming your identity, it may restrict your access until you return to the country or have a local IP address. This is for security reasons and is not something that would be considered a feature.

This information can be found in our support article here: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/3363727-quicken-simplifi-subscription-questions#can-i-use-simplifi-anywhere

I hope this helps clear things up!
