Memorized Transactions

I purchased a new car a while back and started a new "Auto" sub-category for it. I then did a memorize for it. However, every time I make an entry for this new car when getting gas for it, it ALWAYS reverts back to automatically entering the "Auto" sub-category with the old car, and I have to manually change it to the new car subcategory. Any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out! I think we need some more information regarding your situation here. Did you create a rule for this payee/category? Does the older car category still apply, or can it be deleted? Let us know! Screenshots may also assist here.

The categories are: Auto, Old car and Auto, New car. When I get my CC company download, the name of the gas station downloads (I always go to the same station) with the amount of the gasoline charge and it plugs in the category every time as Auto, Old car even though I have memorized it after changing it to Auto, New car.

I don' believe I have created a rule for this payee/category. The old car category no longer applies since I no longer have that car, but I want to keep historical records.
