Notes field is cropped short when inline editing

This issue is easier to show than to describe.
Here's how the Notes field looks when not editing:
And here's how it looks when I click in the field to edit:
As you can see, the cursor is positioned after the "1234." If I move the cursor to the beginning of the field it looks like this:
Here's the same column but much wider. It still shows the same number of characters for editing:

Hello @DryHeat,
Thanks for reaching out! I tested this myself from our side, and can see what you are seeing, but I do not think this would be a bug, since upon hovering over the Notes field, the full text appears underneath.
Let us know if you are not seeing the same thing!

Hi @Coach Jon,
I do not want to dispute this with you as we have very different ideas of what constitutes a bug. I will just mention a couple of additional facts and move on. I start with this sample text in the field.
When I am actually editing the field (when my cursor is present) the hover text you mention as a curative does not appear. So I can either edit or view the hover text, but not both at the same time. (My mouse cursor doesn't show up in the screenshot, which I trigger by hotkey. But I assure you it was hovered over the field.)
And when I leave the field by clicking on another program — like a word processor — the full text does not reappear. The field remains truncated.

@Coach Jon "If you hover over the text field, does the hover text I mentioned above not appear for you?"
I think you are asking whether I actually hovered the mouse cursor over the field I was editing to check to see if the hover text would appear. The answer is "Yes." (Hover text does, of course, appear when I hover over fields I am not editing.)
I think you are saying that the hover text does appear when you hover the mouse cursor over a field at the same time that you are actually editing the field. Is that right?
Anyway, that doesn't really matter for my purposes. You think the (possible) presence of hover text makes the issue not a bug. I don't agree. We've discussed that point of view before and need not rehash it.
Bottom Line: The Payee field doesn't work this way… it uses the full width of the display field for editing like a normal program. The Notes field should work the same way. It doesn't.
But I understand your position. This is not a bug that should be corrected. So, following your previous advice, I will make this a request for a feature enhancement and ask people to vote for.

@Coach Jon — GOOD NEWS!
I reported this problem with the transaction register through another channel and it appears the product team has addressed it. In ver. 4.72.0 a wider-than-default Notes field now uses the entire available space for editing.
So, rather than seeing this truncated text as we did before:
We now see the full text while editing:
Very glad to see this!
