Merrill Lynch connection still getting an error (QCS-0400-6)

You had posted that the ML connection problem was fixed. I was excited, as it has been broken for so long. It took me through all of the expected screens, including logging on to my ML account (and answering secret question). But I get an error…

Request failed with status code 400
Care Code: QCS-0400-6

I tried three (3) times. Still locked out.

    Hello @Mark54,

Thanks for reaching out! I am not seeing an error from our side with Merrill Lynch for you. Can you please provide a screenshot showing the error you are receiving to better assist us? I would also see if establishing a fresh connection by making the account manual and re-linking to see if that fixes the current issue. The instructions to do that are:

    • Make all of the accounts with the bank manual by following the steps here.
    • Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
    • If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.

I am also now receiving this Error Code from Merrill Lynch and have done all troubleshooting steps and tested the login directly but it is not working. Tried 8/22/25 and today, 8/27/25.

    Hello @User209J7H!,

Thanks for reaching out! If you can provide a screenshot showing the error you are receiving within Quicken Simplifi, this would help us going forward.

Additionally, this might be caused by a user token that has expired. This can happen after having the account connected for more than 90 days. To gain a new token, you will have to revoke Quicken from accessing your bank's website, then reconnect your accounts.

    1. Navigate to the bank's website, sign in, and then remove Quickens access from the bank's third-party linked apps.
    2. Navigate back to Quicken Simplifi and make all of the accounts with the bank manual by following the steps here.
    3. Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
    4. If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.
