Getting the below message, I tried incognito mode as was suggested on another post, this was working maybe an hour or so ago, perhaps it's temporary?

(and no, i don't know how or why i wind up with accounts at institutions like "Pentagon Federal Credit Union" (closed, at least temporarily) or "Navy Federal Credit Union" (which claims to check for being affiliated with service, but they approved me right away just based on submitting my license) - these banks reached out to me, not me to them.)

    Hello @RobWilk,

Thanks for reaching out! Can you please confirm whether you are still receiving the QCS-500 error with Navy Federal Credit Union for us? I believe this may have been a temporary holdup, as you stated in your post, and we will want to make sure before diving into more troubleshooting.

It is still happening as of 2:24pm ET.

It prompts me to login, which looks succesful, then it gives me the QCS-500 error when returning to QS.

    Yes, still happening.

The difference between navy federal and santander consumer is navy federal is OAUTH and santander is not, Santander fails much more quickly.

    Hello @RobWilk,

Thanks for the reply. I am wondering if your user token may have expired for Navy Federal CU. This can happen after having the account connected for more than 90 days.

To gain a new token, you will have to revoke Quicken from accessing your bank's website, then reconnect your accounts.

    1. Navigate to the bank's website, sign in, and then remove Quickens access from the bank's third-party linked apps.
    2. Make all of the accounts with the bank manual by following the steps here.
    3. Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
    4. If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.

If these steps do not work, I would suggest waiting 24 hours and then trying to connect after that time has passed. Let us know how that goes!
