Some Categories change for no reason

After assigning a Category to a Transaction, I'll sometimes return to Simplifi the next day and I'll find that the Category that I assigned a Transaction has changed. It doesn't happen all of the time but enough to be quite a nuisance.

    Hmm, does the transaction change back to what it was before you updated it? Or was it a random category?

    This is of no help, but generally the former happens because the connection was lost between the web app (or phone app) and the server perhaps for a brief time. You should get a warning that the transaction was not updated, but I know sometimes you don't.

    Do you have a good fast internet connection? When you save a transaction, you can click on the dashboard and see in recent transactions if it has updated. If it is saved correctly and then changed to something else, that is a more serious problem.
