Icons for Transaction Types
I would like to recommend that icons be added to the transaction types linked (chain link), a deposit (dollar bill), a downloaded transaction (a download arrow). The use of these icons will provide the user with a quick, easy, and straightforward way to identify the transaction. Also, when a transaction is to change the payee, amount, account, etc. the user will know that these types of transactions cannot be edited or changed. Additionally, this would being Quicken Simplifi in the same playing field as its competitors and lift some of the “sterile” aspects. But the use of icons will remove (stop the wasting of time) time that is being expended to determine the type of transaction more time in the analysis of the transaction.

Well, some cute icons would be ok although it gets away from the Simplifi approach. In Quicken Classic, you had a few options such as debit card, which I rarely used. Really a debit is a debit and a credit is a credit. Recently they added check numbers.
And I wouldn't like anything added to Simplifi that I couldn't change. I want to have control and not give it over to software. I admit that this might not be what you meant.

@SRC54, I agree. Also, [removed] allows the user to set the icons or not set the icons. Users are diferent as some will be better with icons and others are better with text. I would see that this could be set in the accounts and category ares of Simplifi.
