Recent Transactions do NOT include pure Income transactions or Transfers
This is not exactly a bug but an incomplete feature implementation from the Old Recent Spending Card in the Dashboard.
Recent transactions with the +/- Total is a step in the right direction, but it still includes only the transactions with a spending category either alone or in a split. If one has a transaction that is only income, e.g., an Interest Payment, it won't be included. This needs to be changed.
Also, so far the iPhone app still says Recent Spending, but the modus operandi is exactly the same. Transactions with spending categories and those with splits that include a spending category are included. Pure income and transfers need to be included as well.

@SRC54, thanks for reaching out!
Is this not the same thing that was reported here?
If so, you will want to follow along with the other thread for updates, as the escalation is still open and being worked on. As for Transfers, it would make sense that they are not included in the Recent Spending Dashboard card, since Transfers are not considered "spending".
Let us know!

@Coach Natalie No, not exactly. Before when it was "Recent Spending", the complain was that income categories got included within splits with Spending categories. I suggested a while back that we change this to "Recent Transactions".
With 4.72.0 (or maybe before), the Web App changed the card to read "Recent Transactions". Great. BUT, it still only includes transactions that have a spending category.
So, if it's going to be "Recent Transactions" (and I think it should be), it should now include ALL transactions including those that have nothing to do with Spending, i.e., Income and Transfers.
Does this make sense?

@SRC54, thanks for the reply!
Although the name of the card may have changed, I'm not aware of the functionality changing. I would recommend following along with the open escalation until we gain more insight or a resolution on the split income transactions being included. If, at that time, we learn that the card is supposed to include income transactions and/or transfer transactions, we can determine how to proceed from there.
I hope this makes sense!

@Coach Natalie Sure, I'll follow along, but the name means everything. If it is RECENT TRANSACTIONS, it needs to be ALL RECENT TRANSACTIONS. Sorry about having degrees in languages. Same reason that RECENT SPEND is WRONG.
RECENT SPENDING was wrong and now RECENT TRANSACTIONS is wrong albeit less wrong than before.
Edit. PS. If it is going to say RECENT TRANSACTIONS in the web app, it should say the same in the phone apps.

@SRC54, I definitely understand where you're coming from. Waiting for an answer on the existing escalation is how we will be able to determine how to proceed. If the name of the card does not seem to match the confirmed functionality at that time, an Idea post may be in order.
Thanks!
