Transaction incorrectly assigned to Statement transaction
Near the end of July I wrote check #1058 for $5000. In mid-August, I transferred $4923.96. In the transaction details of the transfer in Simplifi, it says
Appears on your Money Market Savings statement as Check Paid #1058 on Jul 29, 2025
which is wrong. The $5000 check transaction was gone from Simplifi. The transfer transaction was appearing twice. I deleted one of the transfers and manually added the check, but the transfer left behind still shows the incorrect information and the check transaction isn't linked to a statement transaction.
Hopefully, this all mostly makes sense. What's the best way to go about sorting this all out?

Hello @Randy17485,
Thanks for reaching out! To clarify your situation, I think we will need screenshots to help us understand exactly what is occurring here and how to best assist you. If you can please provide that information, we would be appreciative!

Screenshots attached. Check #1058 was for $5000.

Hello @Randy17485,
Thanks for the screenshots. To clarify the issue, is it just that the $4,923.96 transaction has incorrect statement information within the transaction detail window? If so, deleting and manually recreating the transaction should solve that issue, as it would not show up in a manually created transaction. However, I will state that we do receive that information from the financial institution. As for the $5,000 transaction, there would not be any statement information within the transaction detail window since it was manually created.

The issue is that the statement information listed is for a different transaction. The app matched that information to the wrong transaction.

Hello @Randy17485,
Thanks for the reply. Can you verify if you have an "unmatch" option in the transaction detail window for that transaction? If the transaction was manually created and then matched to a downloaded transaction, it would have this option available. Let us know!

I don’t see one. Do you see one in the screenshots sent previously?

Hello @Randy17485,
Thanks for the reply. If the transaction detail window does not have an "unmatch" option, then the transaction would have been downloaded this way from the financial institution itself. We do not control the statement information from our side.
I hope this makes sense.

Why would Simplifi take a transaction from July for a different amount and say that was the statement data for a transaction in August though? The bank doesn’t control how it gets matched up in Simplifi.

Hello @Randy17485,
We would not know here, unfortunately. You can either delete and recreate the transaction in question, so that it does not have any statement information within the transaction detail window, or you can delete the transaction and try importing a CSV file containing that transaction from the bank's website into Quicken Simplifi as well. In your case, since it is just the one transaction, I would still suggest just recreating the transaction, however.

Ok thank you! I will just delete and recreate it.
