Credit cards not showing in the Spending Report (edited)

Report using only my Bank Account. Selecting ALL categories. None of my credit cards are included. The Visa card is listed as a Category, but going thru Settings it is not listed as a category.

How do I run a Net Income Report, using only my checking account, without including my credit cards?

Doing just a Spending report none of my credit cards show up under Category even though that's how they are listed in my Checking register.

It does not matter how I breakdown Spending, the credit cards aren't there.

Do I have to do a Credit Card category with each credit card as a child category?

The Visa card does come up in Categories in Transaction Activities, but not in a Report!?

@neon45, thanks for posting your inquiry to the Community!

It sounds like you're trying to see transactions with a Transfer Category, such as Credit Card Payment, or a Linked Transfer, in the Spending Report. If this is the case, you won't be able to do this in Quicken Simplifi, as Transfers will always be excluded from Reports by default. There is no way to include them at this time.

Thanks. Understand. It does make it a lot more tedious & complicated doing a simple Expense Report since all income and expenses go thru the checking account.

Workaround… Parent Category is now Monthly Report. All the categories I want for that report now are children of the Monthly Report. So far, so ok. Still a work in progress / fine tuning.

@neon45 I'm not clear on what you are describing or trying to do. Are your credit card payments actual expenses you want to include in your expense report? If the charges to your credit cards are already categorized as expenses those charges are included already, the payments to your credit card(s) are simply transfers from your cash account to cover the already accounted expenses paid for via your credit card(s).

Net income is not affected by credit card payments since they aren't truly additional expenses. Again, I'm not clear on what you are trying to describe.
