If you could make one season last forever, which season would you choose and why?

With the end of summer rapidly approaching, it does raise the question: If you could make one season last forever, which one would it be and why?

For me, it would have to be fall. Early fall is usually pleasant, still being summery, but not as aggressively hot. Later in fall, the leaves change, which is always quite pretty, and my two favorite holidays (Halloween and Thanksgiving) show up.

What season would you like to see last forever?

Where i live, I would have to say Spring. Things are flowering and colorful, and the weather where i live is mild (not cold, not hot) in the spring…. If i'm going to get outdoor exercise, whether it be a long walk or a bike ride, i'm more likely to do it in the spring.

Summer feels too hot lately, not sure it always was. Winter is cold, and like summer I wind up spending more time in climate controlled indoor areas.

The one negative of spring is allergens, but it's a small thing to put up with.

Fall, or Autumn if you prefer. In Alabama, definitely it's fall, and we've experienced a faux fall this past week. They say it may last. I certainly hope so.

I hate summer and the humidity, and spring in Alabama means tornadoes. So my preference is fall, fall, fall. Winters are nice too.😀

Spring.

I live in a desert and we get a decent portion of our meager annual rainfall in January and February.

Which means that later in the spring the desert blooms while the sun shines and the temperatures stay below 90 degrees. The desert is cool and green (although admittedly we have redefined those terms to fit the landscape).

I'll take spring - lengthening days, fluctuating weather with a warming trend, new growth on trees, in the fields, on the hills, time to work in the garden planting a new crop of vegies, and filling the planters and flower beds with a new batch of annuals to compliment the perennials as they put on new growth and blossoms,

One of the things I love most about Idaho is how we get to experience every season in full. Summers are hot and sunny, winters are snowy and crisp, spring brings fresh greenery, and fall transforms everything into brilliant shades of red and orange. I truly enjoy them all!

If I had to choose just one season to last forever, it would be fall. The weather is perfect, and the fall colors make everything feel magical!

I drove through Boise and Twin Falls last week and watched people BASE jump off the bridge in Twin Falls. Beautiful… but smokey.

@DryHeat, this summer has been the least smoky of the last few years. When we get the smoke from Oregon's and Idaho's fires, it just settles down into our valley here. Beautiful area though, for sure!

I left the PNW to get away from the cold, wet & damp 4 seasons. To me, the desert SW is the perfect combination of hot 9 month summers, and 3 months of cool to remind you that summer is coming soon!

It's even better down here in Tucson. July and August are about 5-7 degrees cooler than LV. And the 5-6 months of the year that aren't summer are fantastic.

Tucson is indeed nice, I've been there and played tourist a couple of times.
