I have a pending transaction that is in a “pending” state since Sept 10th. Is it normal for a transaction to remain in this state for more than seven (7) days?
Have you gone to the bank's web site to see if it's cleared? If it has cleared, then the downloaded balance should reflect its inclusion. In that case, you can just clear the transaction yourself.
If it hasn't yet cleared, then you have to wait.
As to what is a normal time to clear, it depends on the transaction. Checks take longer because the human factor comes into play. Electronic transactions SHOULD clear within 2-3 business days.

This has happened a handful of times with my accounts. Once it showed clear on the banks website I just cleared them in Simplifi with no wonky consequences.
I've had that too. And sometimes it's because the transaction never cleared and just disappeared from the bank's website, so I deleted the pending transaction in Simplifi.
