Deleted Savings Goals do not release funds in Accounts List (edited)

When I delete a savings goal the [accounts list] still shows the amount held in Savings Goals, even when there are no more savings goals on the account.

I can create a single SG for $1.00 and the dashboard will drop to the new $1.00 amount, but even with no SG on the account the Dashboard will still show $1.00 held in Savings Goals.

How can I release all of the funds to available when there are no longer any SG tied to the account?

I just tested this in my own Quicken Simplifi, and although it took a few seconds for everything to refresh and for the Savings Goal amount to be removed from the account balance, I did see that the amount was ultimately removed. Have you tried refreshing or signing out and back in, or simply allowing some time? Also, are you seeing this behavior on the Quicken Simplifi Web App or the Mobile App?

Thank you @Coach Natalie. I have let the system sit for a few days and the problem persists. Please allow me to provide a detailed example.

If I create three test Savings Goals (SG) for $1.00 each and tell Simplifi that they are all in an account that has NO other SGs then the dashboard will show that I have $3.00 held in SG. If I delete one or two of these test SGs then the dashboard will refresh to a SG that shows $1.00 less with each deletion. Although if I delete the LAST SG associated with the account then the dashboard will continue to show SG of $1.00. The last SG deleted never releases from the account.

As a workaround I have created a SG saved in each of four accounts for $0.01 each. Now I have four accounts showing $0.01 held in SGs, but when I look at the SGs by account these four accounts are not shown at all.

I hope that this paints a better picture and is something that can show up in a laboratory environment.

I have figured out how to make the funds held for SGs go away: If I go to the SG first and withdraw from goal by spending a custom amount and withdraw the full amount held then refresh the dashboard before deleting the SG, then the funds release on the dashboard.

The funds held on the dashboard for no SG only happens when I delete a SG that has funds saved in the account, Simplifi is not releasing the funds when a SG is deleted with funds saved.

I am having the same issue. I have deleted savings goals whose funds haven’t been released. I saw that there was a supposed resolution to this earlier this month but I’m still dealing with it on app version 5.40.0.
