Chase Bank (Amazon credit card) failing to re-authenticate connection FDP-350 (edited)

A banner at the top of my Amazon credit card account with Chase bank says I need to re-authenticate:

But when I click the Re-Authenticate button and put in my credentials Chase bank fails to complete the work flow:

Then when I close that window and come back to Simplifi I get a message telling me the authorization has failed:

The last update was 18 hours ago and manually triggering an update doesn't do anything. I just keep getting the "Account needs attention" banner again.

UPDATE 1: Things have changed. Now the banner at the top of the account says this:

    Hello @DryHeat,

    Thanks for letting us know. It looks like Chase is indeed reporting connection issues at this time. We are looking into the issue, so in the meantime, I would keep trying to connect every once in a while and be on the lookout for when that banner disappears.

    You can also track the account manually by adding manual transactions, which will keep your records up-to-date while this issue is being investigated. Here are the steps to do so: Managing Transactions in Quicken Simplifi | Quicken Simplifi Help Center

    I tried something else and it worked. Amazon/Chase credit card account is now connected and updating.

    STEPS: (On a PC)

    Log in to Chase bank account through Chase website. Remain logged in.

    Open Simplifi and view Amazon/Chase account.

    Click on Re-Authorize button.

    Click through to the point where it normally asks for your credential.

    RESULT:

    Instead of asking for credentials, Simplifi goes ahead and proceeds as if you had logged in using the normal workflow and updates the account. It seems like Simplifi is relying on the fact that you are already logged in to the bank website as authorization for the connection.

    Anyway, that's what it seems like. Who knows what is really going on?

    Mine is connecting, but has not downloaded the two new cleared transactions today. I will try again this afternoon.
