QBP: Recurring Invoice Payment Reminders (edited)

It would be helpful to link invoices to repeated income events. I have some projects/clients that I invoice on a regular basis, and I have income reminders that feed into my cash flow. It would be good to link these to invoices so they can be updated with the invoice amount automatically.

  • A follow-up to this - invoices should create reminders that affect future cash flow. I see that when I create a draft invoice, it changes the cash flow into the "Client Invoices" account for a future date. There should be a corresponding future event for the transfer from the "Client Invoices" account to the designated payment account. This event is what should link with a recurring series if desired.

Every billing program I have used in the past has a feature that allows an automatic payment reminder to be sent if the payment date is approaching. I had my old program set up to send reminders 5 days, 3 days, day of, and then next day (with past due message). I work with attorneys who sometimes lose track of invoice due dates and they have appreciated the gentle reminder via my billing program.

Added my vote, I don't currently use the invoices feature (my business type is different - I'm an app developer and an app store sells my app for me), but it makes sense for this to be there (my business might change with time, and i'd expect this).

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
