Automated Labeling based on transaction characteristics

I would like to be able to assign a label (as well as a category) to a transaction automatically, based on the transaction's characteristics. For example, I want to label all the foreign currency transactions with the currency, since you do not have this feature. Or for one that isn't making up for your deficiencies, I want to assign a label to all the transactions having to do with a rental property based on the name of the merchant (different electricity supplier, oil company delivery dates, etc., from my primary residence). Yet I also need to be able to see my total expenditures for utilities, taxes, etc., irrespective of whether they were for the rental or the primary property. This is what the category is for.

Thank you for reaching out! We converted your idea post into a discussion, as we believe the ability to "label" transactions already exists within Quicken Simplifi, via the Transaction Rules feature, as well as by using Tags.

Transaction Rules can be used to have Quicken Simplifi automatically recognize your incoming transactions based on specific or broad keywords, and then rename those transactions appropriately. Transaction Rules can be created for both payees and categories. Additionally, Tags allow you to group related transactions — even if they fall under different categories — for easier tracking and reporting. For example, you can tag all vacation-related expenses (gas, hotel, restaurants, etc.) to view the total cost in a Spending Report. Using Tags would be a good way to label transactions as you want to do in Quicken Simplifi.
