HealthEquity Saga side effects - manually updating transactions doesn't update value [Edited]
Hi everyone.
HealthEquity added passkey and now Simplifi cannot connect, which I understand. I changed the account to manual for now until a solution is found, and started adding transactions manually.
The account is still classified as an investment account, which makes sense. The problem is that no matter what new transaction I add, the account balance does not change. It has stayed the same since the last successful automatic connection.
I tried adding adjustment transactions and even changed amounts to see if anything would update, but the balance will not move.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @nrp06,
Thank you for reaching out. In Quicken Simplifi, transactions in investment accounts do not impact the balance or holdings. To update the value of the account, you would need to manually update the holdings. Please see this article for more information:

Thanks.
There are no holdings. Money is not unvested. It is just cash.

Hello @nrp06,
Thanks for the reply. If the account is an investment account with no holdings, and you still wish to track your transactions and balance for the account, I would consider creating a separate manual checking or cash account to do so until you can get your HealthEquity account connected again once the issues have been resolved.
You can also add specific Cash holdings to your manual Investment account by following these steps:
- Hover over the panel on the left-hand side and select Investments.
- Click the blue + Holding button.
- Select the Account you'd like to add the Cash to.
- Select the Cash tab.
- Enter the Total cash amount and click Add when done.
I hope this helps!
